ATANG Moshoeshoe doesn't worry about ducking under the fence when he goes to fetch a stray footy at St Mary's under-18 training.

The South African 16-year-old jumps straight over the top of it.

It is just one sign of the amazing athleticism Moshoeshoe and compatriot Dan Msizi Mkhize possess.

"They are very athletic, Atang especially," junior co-ordinator Kevin McMahon said. "They don't worry about fences at training. They leap over them."

The duo are spending time with St Mary's as part of the club's strong links with South African football.

St Mary's has toured South Africa before with some of the club's rising juniors, holding football clinics in local villages.

Moshoeshoe and Mkhize, 17, train with the Saints during the week and play for Geelong West-St Peters on the weekend in the Roosters' Division 2 Colts side.

Moshoeshoe was one of the best on ground against St Albans at the weekend, kicking three goals.

"Atang is a midfielder. Dan is more a key position player, a full-back," McMahon said.

"They played in the world team at the under-18 championships in Sydney. Then they came down here to play."

McMahon, who is looking after the pair during their time in Geelong, said trips to AFL clubs Geelong and North Melbourne were on the radar before the duo headed home next month.
