DUAL Ash medallist Josh Finch will be in contention for the BFL's highest individual honour for a third time after a runaway best-and-fairest victory at Modewarre.

He polled 145 votes, with Sam Hawking the next best on 86 for the Warriors.

Midfield star Michael Cassidy has claimed Werribee Centrals' best and fairest in a dramatic vote count.

Going into the final round, Cassidy, who hadn't played since Round 11, trailed leader Brayden Montebruno by 11 votes. He turned in an impressive final-round performance in the Centurions' 87-point demolition of Corio at Galvin Park to pip Montebruno by a vote, finishing with 80 for the season.

Steve Morgan finished a further vote back.

The vote count at Barwon Heads was just as tight, with Joel Heil holding on to beat Dylan Holland by one.
