THE Leura Oval at Campderdown was cleared for a helicopter landing midway through the second quarter of an U/18.5 Hampden Football Netball League on Saturday morning.
Ambulance Victoria told The Standard the air ambulance landed to transport a patient as part of an interhospital transfer.
The game between North Warrnambool Eagles and Camperdown was officially called off with teams splitting the points.
The following reserves match was shortened to 15 minute quarters, with the seniors game commencing in normal conditions at 2.15pm.
