BFL and GFL players will hark back to yesteryear this weekend and don heritage jumpers in honour of their rich histories.

SOUTH BARWON

THE Swans will mark another chapter of its heritage when it pulls on the Two-Blues strip.
The guernsey honours the 20-year history of Belmont Football Club, with the names of coaches, captains, best-and-fairests winners and 100-gamers from the 1969 to 1989 era printed on the strip.
BELL PARK

BELL Park was formed in 1958 to give kids another place to play football and stop the spread of soccer in the region.
The club adopted the green jumper and white `V’ soon after its inception and wore the strip for more than 20 years.
ANGLESEA

ANGLESEA will showcase some of its early history by wearing the red-and-white hooped jumper it inherited from the Freshwater Creek Football Club in the early 1960s.
The club only wore the strip for a couple of seasons.
OCEAN GROVE

THIS purple and gold strip is the first jumper worn by Ocean Grove Football Club after splitting from Barwon Heads in the early 1960s.
It was worn by the club’s first senior team in 1964 after being worn for two seasons by the club’s juniors.
The Grubbers have chosen this year to reproduce it to coincide with the 50th birthday of their senior team.
MODEWARRE

TWENTY years have passed since Modewarre’s last senior flag. They defeated Bannockburn in the GDFL’s second division back in 1994, wearing this strip.
TORQUAY

Torquay’s Michael Stanley. Source: News Limited
DURING the mid 1980s, a dominant era in Torquay history. the famous Tigers jumper featured player numbers on the front as well as the back.
Rip Curl was also a major sponsor of the time and tomorrow’s jumper will carry the logo of the iconic surf brand.
