The Standard | A COUPLE of numbers on the old scoreboard will provide a backdrop to an emotional season opener for Timboon Demons.
The Demons will wear black armbands against Russells Creek today in memory of teammate Andrew Blake, who died in a car crash at Nirranda in January.
The numbers “35” and “210”, representing his jumper and club games tally, will also feature on the old Timboon Recreation Reserve scoreboard.
Co-coach Norm Vogels admitted there would be “a fair bit of emotion” in the round one clash.
