The Standard | THE country song I’ve Been Everywhere sums up new Camperdown recruit Daniel Seehusen.
Seehusen, 29, arrives at Leura Oval with points of difference on his football resume — he’s played in London and New York.
Stints at TAC Cup club Eastern Ranges, VFL outfit Box Hill Hawks, NEAFL side Redland and VAFA team Ormond precede Seehusen’s commitment to the Magpies.
His friendship with new Camperdown coach Phil Carse lured him to the Hampden league. The pair played at Box Hill and Redland together before Seehusen caught the travel bug.
“After Redland in 2008 I went to London and lived there for a couple of years and played football for North London Lions and then I lived in New York for a bit and played for the New York Magpies,” he said.
“When I finally returned to Australia after four years in 2013 I had one year at Ormond in the VAFA.”
The lure of discovering another culture took Seehusen overseas again last year.
