gvflWeekly Times | TATURA finished its season on a high with its first win of the Goulburn Valley Football League season.

The Bulldogs ended their season drought with a 33-point win against Echuca.

With all of the home-and-away rounds of country Victorian football now completed, season 2015 saw eight clubs finished their regular season untarnished, but 19 clubs did not sing their song. Twenty players also reached the goalkicking ton within the regular season this year, including Victoria Country vice-captain Grant Weeks, who on Sunday won the Heathcote District Football League best-and-fairest, the Cheatley Medal.

Weeks polled three votes in the final round, when he kicked 20 goals against Heathcote, to win by two votes from White Hills’ Hayden Wright.

Weeks’ team, Colbinabbin, lost Saturday’s preliminary final to North Bendigo.
