Weekly Times |ANOTHER playing coach joins the ranks of the Goulburn Valley Football League with former Brisbane Lion and Western Bulldog Justin Sherman signing with Kyabram.
Sherman, 27, played 138 games at AFL level from 2005-12. He has since had stints at VFL club Williamstown and Essendon District club Pascoe Vale, where he was assistant coach.
He takes over from the Bombers’ 2013 premiership-winning coach David Williams.
He said he was looking forward to the opportunity.
“Hopefully we can play an exciting brand of footy and be a hard opposition to play against week in week out ... going about it right way and letting actions do the talking,” Sherman said.
“Hopefully we can be a club that sustains that for years to come and not just be team where one year where we win flag and drop away.
“It’s about being consistent and being a top three or four side consistently and doing all those things right but that comes from the training ethic and all those type of things.”
