Weekly Times | GRANT Weeks made himself right at home on his return to Colbinabbin on Saturday.
The star forward was back at the Hoppers, his junior club, for the first time since 2010, after three seasons at Golden Square in the Bendigo league and two with Rochester in the Goulburn Valley league.
And he made an immediate impression in the opening round of the Heathcote District Football League against White Hills on Saturday.
Weeks slotted 10 goals to thrust himself into the race to 100 goals in country football this season, with Colbinabbin winning comfortably 16.8 (104) to 3.10 (28).
He was not even the biggest scorer for the weekend. That honour went to Newlyn’s William Young who booted 13 goals in the Central Highlands Football League.
