Weekly Times | YARRA Glen has retained the Pride Cup, defeating Warburton Millgrove in the Yarra Valley Mountain District Football League Division 1 match on Sunday.
The inaugural Pride Cup was played between Yarra Glen and Yarra Junction last year.
It celebrates diversity and inclusion in sport for the lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual and intersex communities by tackling homophobia in football.
This year’s match was held on Sunday to mark International Day Against Homophobia.
The Burras led at every change, but the home side Yarra Glen booted four goals to two in the final term to win 13.14 (92) to 11.14 (80).
