Match Previews | The home-and-away season is now complete, and all attention turns to the Westvic Scaffolding Finals Series, with five teams set to battle it out for premiership glory.

South Warrnambool has once again entered the finals series in impressive fashion, completing the 18-round season undefeated.

The Roosters have been a dominant force throughout the campaign, and the mid-season inclusion of Ally O’Connor and Emma Buwulda has further strengthened a side that now looks well placed for another tilt at the premiership.

Koroit will be looking to go back-to-back, following an unforgettable 2025 Grand Final victory. Who could forget that one-point thriller? The reigning premiers now have another opportunity to etch their names into Hampden FNL history, but they will know the challenge will be enormous with South Warrnambool and three other quality finalists standing in their way.

Warrnambool, Cobden and Port Fairy have also qualified for September action, and it is fantastic to see the Seagulls back in the finals fold. Each side has shown plenty throughout the season and will be confident of making their mark when the intensity lifts over the coming weeks.

There was also a remarkable individual milestone reached in the final round, with Koroit star shooter Rebecca Hicks bringing up the magical 1,000-goal mark. It is a truly Herculean achievement, made even more impressive by the fact Hicks has reached the milestone in back-to-back seasons.
