Gormandale C Grade completed a clean sweep of the home and away season and the final series to take out their respective grades premiership along with the title of Champions. The C Grade Tigers the only one of the clubs four grand final sides to secure a trophy for the cabinet.
It was a day of mixed and somewhat surprise results which kept spectators on the edge of their seats. None more so then the enthralling battle for the A Grade cup saw the title decided in the dying 40 seconds of the contest. A goal with less than a minute on the time keepers clocked handed Heyfield the premiership title with a 53 to 52 goal victory over Gormandale.
Claiming their second title in the last three seasons, the Roos' charge on the scoreboard was led by best on court Goal Attack and captain Emma Wojcinski.
B Grade – Fifth place Sale City may have taken the long road to the big one, however were not overawed on the grand stage. The Dogs made light work of Gormandale in a dominate performance which saw the side cause one of several upsets of the day winning 42 to 37.
Dogs Ruby Phillips was named best on court for her efforts.
C Grade- Gormandale were named champions following their dominance of the C Grade competition, failing to drop a match throughout the home and away season, the Tigers breezed through the finals series.
Advancing to the grand final following a comprehensive victory in the Preliminary Final Rosedale was simply no match for the number one side going down, 45 to 21.
Tiger Danni Mowat was a dominate figure and was judged best on court.
D Grade – Minor premiers TTU followed on from their faultless season in the big one. The Bombers claimed the honors over runners up Gormandale by three goals. TTU's Tess Styles was named best on court.
Under 17's – Sale City won a nail biting contest with a two goal victory over TTU to claim their first under 17 title, Lauren Freeman was named best on court.
Under 15's – The physicality of the Bombers proved to be the edge TTU held over opponents Sale City in the inaugural season of the underage competition.
Contesting a number of classic tussles during the season it was TTU that held strong in the penultimate contest, the Bombers winning 36 to 16 with TTU's Anneliese Henderson judged best on court.
