Touted as the match of the round, the contest between the would be challengers of 2013 TTU and reigning premier HEYFIELD saw the result decided in the closing minutes of the match with the Kangaroos snatching victory from the Bombers grasp.

The golden age of Mallee football continued at Swan Hill on Saturday when the Mallee Football League continued its relentless march up the Worksafe VCFL ladder by defeating the higher ranked Central Murray League by a whopping 85 points.

Reigning premiers HEYFIELD appear to be coasting along with their premiership defence seemingly on track.

The Mallee Football League will play Central Murray League at Swan Hill this Saturday, May 25. Rated 14 and 13 respectively for the 2013 VCFL Championships, the Mallee League has defeated Horsham, North Central and Wimmera over the past three years in the run-up to their most challenging matchup yet.

Blustery cold conditions were encountered across all grounds in Round Six of North Gippsland Football, however the competition on the field in the match of the round between Rosedale and WOODSIDE was anything but cool with the contest going down to the wire.
