BUNINYONG completed one of the all-time great comebacks to extend its remarkable winning streak on home soil.
The Bombers moved a step closer to securing a Central Highlands Football League top four berth with a memorable five-point win over reigning premiers Hepburn in a rematch of last year's grand final.
In a dull and scrappy affair for the opening three quarters, the Burras looked home for all money when they kicked the opening goal of the final term to extend their lead to 37 points.
But the Bombers weren't done with yet.
In a victory that will live long in the memories of those that witnessed it, the boys in red and black booted the last seven goals of the game to snatch a 10.7 (67) to 8.14 (62) win.
The result continues the Bombers' unbeaten run on home soil, which stems back to round 12 of 2011.
After a quiet opening three terms, star onballer Sam Turner turned it on with three final-quarter goals, including the winner with a long set shot to send the Buninyong fans into rapture.
Bombers coach Jarrod Morgan also helped ignite his side with two goals to begin the fightback, while forward Adam Scott lifted in the last quarter with a couple of important majors.
The defeat sees Hepburn, which was led by the likes of onballer Brad McKay, ruckman Brendan Sutcliffe and forward Michael Watt, who went back as a loose man in defence in the final term, slip from third to fifth on the ladder, while Buninyong remains second.
Meanwhile, the upset of the weekend took place at Ballan as the Blues defeated Springbank by 25 points.
