Weekly Advertiser | The two best sides in the recent history of the Horsham District A Grade netball competition, Laharum and Edenhope-Apsley, will square off at Horsham City Oval on Saturday with more grand final glory on the line.

Accounting for a COVID-19-induced break in 2020 and 2021, when the league crowned no premiers, the Demons and Saints have each won two of the past five A Grade flags.

Laharum was the toast of the league in 2019 and 2024, while the Saints were victorious in the 2022 and 2023 grand finals – both at the expense of the Demons.

Edenhope-Apsley came painfully close to adding to its trophy cabinet last year, falling two goals short in a thrilling grand final against Rupanyup.

With the Panthers entering a rebuilding phase this season and Laharum returning to full strength after missing key players in 2025, the stage is set for the sides to renew their rivalry.

Laharum will be a warm favourite after topping the ladder with a 15-1 record, its only loss coming to Kalkee in round 10.

But the Saints have proven themselves more than capable of challenging any side in the league, finishing third with 13 wins, two losses and a draw.

They advanced to the grand final after a hard-fought 49-42 preliminary final win against Noradjuha-Quantong on Saturday – the first time they beat the Bombers in four attempts this season.
